Administrative Specialist (Administrative Specialist 2)
has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Administrative Specialist to join an excellent team. This is a full-time, permanent position with the OHA’s Fiscal & Operations Division. This is a classified role, represented by SEIU.
The Administrative Specialist supports the OHA’s Office of Actuarial and Financial Analytics (OAFA) unit. The person in this position will carry out special projects on behalf of the unit’s Director and other staff in support of the unit, serve as the key point of contact for scheduling and communications for the unit, serves as a general resource person, and administrative problem solver to staff at all levels of the unit and partners, stakeholders, and contractors, both internally and externally.

- Two years of experience as an administrative specialist or executive support specialist which included administrative support for a project, program, or operation. Administrative support includes those duties beyond clerical/secretarial such as: interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations; administrative data collection and analysis; and evaluation of projects, processes, and operations;
OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience. One year of postsecondary education may be substituted for up to one year of the experience.
- Knowledge and experience in the principles and practices of executive administrative support is required for this position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated ability to develop organizational systems and tools and the ability to manage time and multiple competing assignments is required.
- Experience in and understanding of state, local and federal government systems and operations is desired.
- Ability to steward relationships with all OHA Chief Financial Office staff, partners, and serve members of the public, using anti-racist and universally accessible principles.
- Approaches work with a customer-service approach.
- Proficient at an expert level in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Outlook and Adobe products, and adept at learning and using new technology.
- Proficiency in using Teams and Zoom for remote meetings.
- Experience with web editing.
- Experience taking meeting minutes.
