Overview

RES is looking for a Business Manager / Chief of Staff to support our Chief Operating Officer, based out of our Houston, TX office.

The mission: RES doubled its operations in a three-year span. Our company grows and changes its shape and form of operations. The COO, overseeing the staff of roughly 1000 people, needs a Business Manager, who will help her in the prioritization of business projects and keeping them on track and will provide insight and analysis on the company’s operations.

We are looking for a keen analytical mind, who is never satisfied with the status quo and is always curious about the why of things. Since you will be dealing with different data sets, a background in finance will be helpful. The desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and strong relationship-building skills will make you thrive in the position.

Note that the role is highly visible, and multiple career choices are available in the short and medium term within the organization. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who desires to start a business career since lots of training will be provided.
What your day-to-day might look like?

No day is the same, but your activities will be focused on:

Reporting: you will help drive the reporting on critical projects, analyzing underlying contracts and financials, and signaling points of interest to your supervisor.

Tracking and scheduling: ensuring initiatives are well tracked, data collected and analyzed (both financial and operational), and projects are combined and reported on effectively, you will make sure the operations are run smoothly.

Presentations: at your supervisor’s request, you will put together presentation materials, background briefs, and talking points.
Qualifications

We would love to talk to you if you have many of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Accounting or Finance degree preferred)
  • 1+ years of work experience
  • Experience interacting with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Collaboration with and support of senior leadership providing insightful analysis and reporting to enable improved decision making.
