Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC) is recruiting for compassionate, dedicated direct care professionals to provide direct or indirect care for consumers of behavioral health treatment. This includes participation in de-escalation activities and assuring that patients are kept safe. This position acts as a role model, demonstrating effective problem solving and decision-making skills and will assist in providing therapeutic activities for the consumer, assuring scheduled programming is carried out at the new Children’s URC in Norman, OK. The URC is designed as an alternative treatment setting for those who need urgent (same day) intervention, but do not necessarily require the services of the Emergency Room.

Job Type/Salary:

  • Full-time position
  • Salary: $35,547.20+
  • Full Compensation range of $45,919 to $58,629, depending on the number of covered dependents and qualifications. Compensation range to include base salary and benefits allowance to help you pay for your benefits. Compensation range does not include shift differentials.
  • FLSA Status: Exempt

Additional Compensation: Along with our great benefits we also offer addition compensation for working outside of normal business hours! Below is the list of shift differential pay that you can use to boost your hourly pay rate. You can also stack your shift differential pay. For example, working nights on the weekends earns you an extra $1.75 an hour!

  • Direct Care – extra $1.00/hr.
  • Evening/Nights – extra $0.50 hr.
  • Weekends – extra $0.75 hr.
  • Holidays – extra $0.75 hr.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associates Degree OR an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting two years of relevant experience for the required education
