By joining the Division of Water’s Water Quality Branch as an Environmental Control Manager in Franklin County, you will have the opportunity to work to determine, report on, and manage the health of the Commonwealth’s streams, rivers, lakes, and wetlands.
Holders of the Water Quality Branch Manager position will complete tasks such as:
- Oversees of water quality monitoring programs
- Monitors status, develops, and reviews of surface water quality standards
- Manages Total Maximum Daily Loads program
- Assesses state waterbodies on a regular basis
- Coordinates processes related to regulation development and agency policy and procedures
Desired candidates possess the following requisite skills or experience applicable to the position:
- Stream monitoring and assessment processes
- Staff and program management
- State and federal water regulation and statute review and/or development
- Writing, presentation, facilitation, and planning
