Overview

This is a contractual position with the Mississippi Department of Mental Health. The incumbent will not work as a state service employee and will not receive State of Mississippi employee benefits.

The Mississippi Department of Mental Health (DMH) certifies, provides and/or financially supports a network of services for people with mental illness, intellectual/ developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.

Scope of Services:
Fidelity reviewers are responsible for the evaluation and assessment of programmatic models of treatment (IPS, PACT, ICORT, ICSS) in community settings to ensure implementation and administration of the treatment meets all necessary components of that respective treatment model and maintain integrity of the evidenced based practice.

Fidelity checklists and documentation have already been developed for use by an evidenced based practitioner. This employee will be trained on the respective forms and assessment tools.

Training will be provided to the contract employee in the identified treatment models as well as administration of fidelity reviews for Supported Employment (IPS), Programs of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT), Intensive Community Outreach and Recovery Teams (ICORT), and Intensive Community Support Services (ICSS).

The Fidelity Reviewer will be expected to travel to community mental health centers per the developed fidelity schedule, conduct the evidenced based fidelity review, and write the subsequent fidelity report in the designated timeline.

To succeed in this role, the incumbent must have strong oral and written communication skills. Individual must be able to work independently as well as with a team as these fidelity visits will take place in conjunction with Division of Adult Services staff.

Travel is required of this position with some over-night stays.

Education/Experience Requirements: Master’s Degree in psychology or related field and familiarity with the public mental health system in Mississippi.

Length of Contract and Hours: This position will work up to 30 per week and the contract period will end June 30, 2023, with an option to renew. This is not a state service position with the State of Mississippi.
