General Statement of Duties
This is an Income Maintenance Supervisor position that is responsible for staff development and Quality Control of Economic Services. The primary purpose of this position is to organize, guide, and coordinate a staff development program designed to enhance the competence of individual employees. The person selected for this position is responsible for developing and implementing an onboarding process; in-service trainings; and organizing further trainings to advance employees’ professional, supervisory, and administrative skills. This employee supervises staff through observation, case review, data management, consultation, regular employee conferences and team meetings. This employee provides input to higher level management on administrative, personnel, and budget issues and processes this information back to staff. The person selected will also be the primary contact for all audits and record requests from the county level to the federal level.

Examples of Duties Performed
Provides Supervision for the Quality Control Staff
Provides case consultation and direction to staff on different case situations ensuring compliance of State and Federal policies and Laws.
Reviews case records, applications, standards, etc. ensuring compliance with program standards.
Completes evaluation of all team members on a regular basis including a yearly formal written evaluation.
Responsible for assisting in the interview process for team vacancies and making recommendations for hiring to administration.
Provides and/or coordinates staff training on policy changes by state and federal guidelines.
Develops and implements a structured onboarding process.
Reviews program objectives of the agency and formulates specific goals with the Economic Services Team.
Responsible for ensuring a safe work place and environment for all assigned personnel
Continuously working toward ensuring proper training for all new employees as well as current employees is completed accurately.
Recruitment Standards
  • Thorough knowledge of quality assurance program practices; planning and development of assessment tools and techniques
  • Ability to develop recommendations to solve problems in different program service areas and help to plan goals and resolve goal deficiencies.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and consultation to staff.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying quality standards, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with professional and administrative personnel.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with various staff
  • Ability to assess problems and coordinate resolutions.
Minimum Education and Experience
Three years of experience as a caseworker or investigator in an income maintenance program, preferably with one year of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
