Position Summary:
Utilizing broad-based skills in basic patient care, ancillary services, and business office practices, provides assistance to providers in accordance with PNHS standard and policies.

Education/Experience:

Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by “The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES). One or more years of experience desirable (preferably in a related field of medicine).

Special Knowledge/Skills/Certifications/Licenses:

Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, and maintains standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the AAMA. Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and ensure safety of patients.

BLS provider status in accordance with American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines.

Great opportunity to join our growing Neurology team! This is an energetic and engaged team focused on providing the best possible patient care as we continue to build our sub-specialty programs and expand our presence in the West metro. As a member of this team, you will support a practice of 13 Neurologists and 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians.

Primary responsibilities include rooming patients, appointment scheduling, assisting with paperwork and orders, assisting with patient messages, drawing up injectable medications, and supporting a team of 14 nurses.

Our clinic is located in the 3931 Specialty Center in St. Louis Park. The hours for this position is 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. This position may be required to travel to our Maple Grove or Burnsville clinics on occasion.
