Overview
Brightpoint Community College is seeking qualified individuals to teach nurse aide credit and non-credit courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats. Full-time faculty members fully participate in nursing program development and evaluation, college activities and committees, advising, and represent Brightpoint at community events and professional opportunities. This is a one-year grant funded position with the possibility for renewal.
Serve as Nurse Aide Education Coordinator and primary instructor for the Brightpoint Community College Nurse Aide Education Program. Develop and adjust curriculum to meet Virginia Board of Nursing requirements. Assume the administrative responsibility and accountability for the nurse aide education program by maintaining records and completing appropriate reports. Assist in the identification of clinical partners and supervise student clinicals. Assist with the physical development and organization of a VA Board approved nurse aide skills lab. Assist with the development and training of adjunct faculty. Communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. Actively listen, influence, and collaborate with others to create consensus and achieve goals. Participate in professional development and college activities that serve the mission of CCWA and the colleges.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
