The Staff Attorney II will have the following responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Providing legal advice to the Department’s divisions relating to insurance regulatory matters.
- Attending meetings, conducting legal research, providing timely and well-supported opinions and drafts proposed orders.
- Preparing, litigating, and arguing administrative cases, and at times institute or defend the Department in district or circuit court setting.
- Drafting, reviewing, and revising proposed legislation, administrative regulations, opinions, bulletins, advisories, orders, and other documents requiring legal analysis and research.
- Responding to inquiries from the public, industry, and government.
