Job Description And Duties

This position is limited term for 12 months. It may be extended an additional 12 months or become permanent.

The Early Education Division (EED) at the California Department of Education supports the State’s early education system by advancing equitable opportunities that optimize thriving children, families, and communities through the implementation of universal prekindergarten. By supporting early education programs and teachers through research and evidence-based training, resources, and guidance, the EED helps ensure all of California’s children have access to high-quality services and education and have a strong early learning and care foundation for school and lifelong success.

The EED Administration and Fiscal Services Office is looking for a knowledgeable, analytical, hardworking, organized, and independent professional to join the office to support in administrative functions related to information technology (IT) and human resources (HR) coordination. The Staff Services Analyst (SSA) will serve as the EED IT Coordinator. Responsibilities include: liaising between the Technology Servicing Division and the EED as the primary point of contact for IT, telecom, and software issues. The SSA will also serve as a EED HR Liaison and is responsible for assisting hiring managers with the recruitment of EED positions.
