Statement of the Job:

This position is a Temporary (approximately 5 months, October to mid-February), full-time position, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week. Daily work hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with occasional overtime and holiday work required. Employee is responsible and accountable for the creation, maintenance and disposition of records, including confidential records. The employee performs complicated clerical duties in all phases of the recruitment and admission operations, working with both hard copy and electronic records, with an error rate of no more than 3%. This position assists in generating and coordinating written correspondence with applicants as it relates to admission decisions. This position oversees the data entry process for admissions decisions and scholarships, which includes training new employees on the process. The employee will communicate with prospective students, their families, faculty, staff and the general public both verbally and in writing on matters relating to official University records and office operations. This position is expected to interpret and relay admissions procedures accurately to the public. Telephone and e-mail correspondence and multiple priorities require this individual to have excellent multi-tasking skills.Work is performed under general supervision. The employee assists with maintaining an extensive prospect and applicant database and supports registration activities for recruitment programs. The employee is a member of the admissions team and has responsibilities in recruiting, admitting and yielding students.
