Overview
The Revenue Manager position is a leadership role within the Accounting Department and a highly visible role at Amplify Energy Corp. (the “Company”). The Company is seeking a dynamic leader with vision to shape the Company’s revenue accounting function for the future. This position is responsible for the supervision of all oil & gas revenue accounting activities. This role will require the candidate to work closely with different departments, including Finance, Accounting, Land, and Operations. The Revenue Manager will report to the Controller and will be responsible for the following:
The Revenue Manager is responsible for the Revenue accounting group’s successful execution of core duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the Company’s revenue accounting function and ensure accurate and timely reporting of the Company’s revenues
- Monthly review and approval of all oil and gas sales entries, operated and non-operated
- Monthly preparation of the revenue accruals
- Monthly review and approval of all state and federal regulatory payments and computations.
- Monthly review of all revenue account reconciliations
- Provide guidance to the revenue group on revenue-related issues such as sales volumes and values, product imbalances, owner settlements and inquiries, revenue deductions, and general ledger entries
- Monthly execute the revenue process including cutbacks, suspense, and check processing.
- Monthly perform the revenue accrual vs actual analysis
- Provide guidance and training to the revenue group as needed
- Evaluate the current responsibilities and workflows in the department to ensure efficiency
- Work with internal and external auditors
- Manage the regulatory audit function with state and federal auditors
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5-10 years of oil and gas accounting experience with industry knowledge and terminology
- Oil & Gas revenue or production accounting experience
- 2+ years of supervisory and team lead experience
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and interact effectively
- with others in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) within the
- company and with revenue owners and partners
- Strong Excel skills
- Fluctuations in workloads may require some overtime
- Problem-solving and analytical thinking as necessary to
- accomplish accounting objectives
Desired Qualifications:
- BOLO experience
- Experience in dealing with the ONRR and state agencies
- CPA – a plus
